KEEPING up with his vow to make Paranaque garbage free, Mayor Florencio M. Bernabe Jr. recently donated seven brand new dumptrucks to seven barangays in a turnover ceremony in front of Parañaque City Hall.
"We are committed to our goal of keeping our streets garbage free and providing dump trucks to seven barangays will contribute greatly to make Paranaque a model city of cleanliness," Mayor Bernabe said.
Mayor Bernabe also urged barangay leaders to continue promoting programs that would encourage proper segregation of garbage for easier and quicker disposal.
Previously, Mayor Bernabe donated seven ambulances to other barangays so that they would be prepared should emergency medical assistance be needed in their areas.
Mayor Bernabe also thanked the City Engineering Department headed by Engr. Reydivino Daval-Santos who allocated a portion of the department's funds to purchase the brand new Isuzu NPR 66T dumptrucks.
The recipients of one new dumptruck each were Barangays San Antonio, San Dionisio, Baclaran, Merville, Don Galo, San Isidro and San Martin de Porres.
