CRIMINALS are going to think twice before committing felony in Paranaque because Mayor Florencio M. "I will not allow criminal activities to threaten the lives of our people in this city and all those who will break the law will be dealt with accordingly," Mayor Bernabe said.

He also urged residents to cooperate with police authorities and support their programs for the quicker apprehension of criminals and to prevent criminal activity from occurring in the city.

The suspects destroyed some P350,000 worth of property during the break-in, and all of them admitted to sniffing rugby before committing the crime.

At around 4:45 am, on May 22, police arrested Doy Giaman, 25, married, driver, a native of Cotabato City and resident of Quiapo 2 St., Maharlika Village, Taguig, after he and a companion broke into the JARN Pawnshop located along Dr. A. Santos Ave. Brgy. San Isidro owned by Angelita Bermudez.

Giaman surrendered one Taurus 45 caliber pistol, one magazine and eight bullets while his accomplice known only as "Bobby Renato" escaped after trading shots with elements of the PCP-4.

Police recovered P237,000 worth of cash and valuables from the arrested suspect. Also recovered from the crime scene were one Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi with plate no. TKX-295, one car plate no. TNL-530, small acetylene tank/machine, one flat bar and one crow bar or bolt cutter.
