WHEREAS, it is the vision of the Local Government of the City of Parañaque (xxx) to have a quality college education to be established in this city;

WHEREAS, the city council has previously established the PUP extension under approved ordinance no. 107;

WHEREAS, due to the present economic condition, the constituents of our city, particularly those who belong to the lower income group, can hardly afford to send their children to college;

WHEREAS, the management of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, through its president, Dr. Samuel Salvador, is offering to open a PUP - Pamantasang Lungsod here in the City of Parañaque;

WHEREAS, the establishment of a university branch in the city of Parañaque is a golden opportunity for the local government in order that its poor but deserving students be given a chance to have quality education;

WHEREAS, a Memorandum of Agreement has to be entered into by and between the Hon. Florencio M. Bernabe Jr. for the local government and Dr. Samuel Salvador for PUP in the establishment of the first university in the City of Parañaque.

BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that this resolution authorizing the Hon. Mayor Florencio M. Bernabe Jr. to negotiate with Dr. Samuel Salvador, PUP President, regarding the establishment of PUP branch in the city of Parañaque, BE APPROVED AS IT IS HEREBY APPROVED.
